BE MORE COURAGEOUS

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest (Joshua 1;7)

God spoke unto the people and said, be strong and very courageous!

Both are necessary for good success! In prior verses the Bible writes, that the people were to be courageous!

These attributes must increase! They do not function alone, wisdom (the application of knowledge) and prudence (discretion, doing subtly) are Godly attributes!

These with courage and strength, are like weapons in God's hands!

Grow in knowledge, read study the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit each time you read, so that he becomes master and teacher!

The Holy Spirit wants to enlighten our hearts! He is God on earth!

Become more courageous! Practice strength! Apply wisdom discretion, every moment, each activity keep a right heart, forgiveness and love, guard your mouth, speak no wrong, protect your mind, have pure hearts and God's word will prosper!

Prayer: Dear Father God, you are always on your throne, JESUS OF NAZARETH is OUR HIGH PRIEST!

Allow our words, thoughts confessions, so that our acts, activities are produced from the word of God! Not from ourselves! Give yours balanced mind's, right hearts, pure motives and courageous spirits, being discreet and applying wisdom in every aspect of our lives, as yours gain more, and more knowledge through the word in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

Bigger and Better

And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city

(Acts 8:7–8)

It’s significant that Philip came into a season of great flourishing after he was driven by persecution out of Jerusalem to a city in Samaria

It looked as though nothing good was happening, as though he’d just have to endure the difficulties. But God was using that shaking season to get him in a position to flourish and see His favor and blessings in new ways

Philip saw all kinds of miracles in Samaria that he had never seen in Jerusalem. If he had stayed there, he would have missed the fullness of his destiny.

When you’re doing the right thing and a door closes, someone pushes you away, or the contract suddenly ends, stay in faith. God will open a bigger and better door

Samaria is waiting for you. There’s a place of victory, a place of abundance, a place of flourishing that God has already prepared for you

You’re going to do things you’ve never dreamed, discover gifts you didn’t know you had, and see favor, abundance, and breakthroughs. Just know that your best days are still ahead.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that You know what’s best for me, and You’re pushing and stretching me out of my comfort zone and into my purpose. Thank You for closed doors as well as open doors. I believe that You have something bigger, something better, something more rewarding up in front of me. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Starve the Negatives

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour

(1 Peter 5:8)

The enemy roars threats, trying to bring fear and cause you to shrink back, to live doubting, insecure, and unworthy

If you quit feeding the biggest, strongest lion for a week, his roar will be a growl. In two weeks, the king of the jungle is not going to have the strength to attack

In a month, he’s too weak to get up. If you quit feeding him, he loses all his power

In the same way, fear, worry, and doubt can seem too powerful to defeat. But if you quit feeding the negatives, if you quit letting them play in your mind, they will get weaker and weaker

You’ll get to the point where they can’t control you. Every time doubt or fear comes, that’s the roaring lion trying to deceive, manipulate, and limit

It’s your choice of whether you will feed it. Do yourself a favor and start starving those things!

They lose all their power when you quit feeding them. Instead of feeding your fears, feed your hope, your faith, your confidence, your courage

Feed on the promises of God and what He says about you

Prayer:

Father, thank You that when the enemy is roaring, bombarding my thoughts with doubts and fears, that I can resist him, firm in the faith. Thank You that I can choose to starve those thoughts and instead feed on Your Word. I declare that I will not be intimidated into backing down. In the name of the Lord Jesus we pray Amen

KEEP YOUR HEART RIGHT WITH GOD!

17 “All right,” Saul said “Find me someone who plays well, and bring him here.” (1 Samuel 16:17)

God doesn't choose people the way people choose; people look on the outside, God looks at the heart

God knew that if He could trust David to take care of sheep and to be faithful when things were not going his way, He could trust him to take care of His people!

David went from being a shepherd to being the next king! Nobody voted for him! This wasn't a democracy! If it had been, he wouldn't have received one vote!

Nobody in Israel knew who he was at that time! His father didn't even believe in him! When God is ready to promote you, He doesn't take a vote!

He doesn't check to see who likes you, who is for you or how popular you are!

It's not a vote! But an appointment! Promotion doesn't come from people, it comes from the Lord! When its your time to be promoted, no person, no disappointment, no enemy can stop you!

God has the one and only vote, He has the final say! Have a blessed night Saints!

We are worthy in God!

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved (Ephesians 2:4–5)

Sometimes when we’ve done wrong, compromised, and made poor choices, we think we’re unworthy of God’s love and don’t deserve anything good from God

Some people say, “After all, I’m just a poor old sinner saved by grace. I can’t expect God’s blessing.” But when we gave our life to God, we were made alive together with Christ and became new creations.

We are no longer sinners. Now we are sons and daughters of the Most High God, crowned with His favor and grace and destined to overcome

Don’t fall into the trap of unworthiness. Shake off the guilt, the shame, the feelings of less-than, and “come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy.” You can’t go as a weak worm of the dust, saying, “I don’t deserve it.

I’m so unworthy. I can’t do anything right.” No, go with boldness. “God, You have made me worthy. I believe You love me, that You are for me, that You want to bless and prosper me.” Don’t go as a beggar; go as a believer, with confidence, with boldness, because you belong unto God

Prayer:

Father, thank You for making me righteous through what Jesus has done on the cross. Thank You that when I received Jesus into my life, I received the gift of grace and favor and became Your very own holy child. I will not carry around guilt and condemnation. SPEAK THE WORD NOT FACTS

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment (Psalm 37:30)

In the scripture a man by the name of Ezekiel was facing an impossible situation! There were these dead bones in a valley that God had promised would come back to life!

Dead bones represent dreams and goals that we don't think will come to pass! God had the power to bring these dead bones to life but God needed a person who believed so he could work through them

God said to Ezekiel, "Do you believe that these dead bones can live? (Ezekiel 37:3)." Isn't it interesting God wanted to know what Ezekiel believed?

Ezekiel could have reasoned it out or said, "God, the bones are dead! I don't see how that's going to happen!"

In other words, "The medical report doesn't look good, God! Business is slow

This is a big problem!" I can imagine God said, "Ezekiel, I am not asking you all of that

All I want to know is do you believe?" All at once Ezekiel shook off the doubt and he said in effect, "Lord, I believe!"

The spirit of God came on him! He started prophesying and somehow, someway, those dead bones came back to life!

But God is asking us what He asked Ezekiel! "Do you believe you can live a blessed, prosperous, successful life?

I have the power! I am just looking for someone who believes!"

Do you believe God can turn that situation around? Do you believe God has the power that can overcome mistakes of the past? When you get in agreement with God, and believe, that allows God to release the incredible greatness of His power!

Prayer: Dear Father God, our source, hope and the Omnipotent One, Father Your power is unlimited with yours that truly believe, trust, speak truth and do what your word says! Your people prophecy life continually, consistently and relentlessly in and unto each detail, of our lives from this moment forwards and unto the new month in the mighty name of our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen

THINK OF JESUS ALWAYS

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4;8)

The words above describe JESUS! Jesus is of good report, praise worthy, pure, virtuous and lovely etc

On the night Jesus Christ was born, shepherds were out in a field near Bethlehem

An angel appeared unto them and told them the good news about His birth!

Then suddenly, a vast host of angels appeared who were praising God (Luke 2:13)

The Scripture say's that there are angels in heaven singing praises day and night!

Think about this: When you praise God, you are joining with the angels in heaven!

What an awesome thought that we can be one with the heavenly hosts when we worship!

As you celebrate the birth of Jesus, take time to rejoice with the angels that the Son of God came to us as a baby!

Turn your thoughts toward our Lord and Savior because He is good and worthy of all our praise!

In the words of (Psalm 95), “So come, let us worship: bow before Him, on your knees before God, who made us! Oh yes, He is our God, we are the people He pastures, the flock He feeds!

Shine Bright

You are the world’s light—a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father (Matthew 5:14–16)

Sometimes God will assign you to difficult people, perhaps a negative workplace with coworkers who are hard to get along with, who compromise, who take the easy way out, who play politics and backstab

You’re not there by accident. God has you there to shine brightly. He’s counting on you to be a good influence, to be grateful when they’re complaining, to have integrity when they’re compromising

He’s counting on you to show mercy when they’re judgmental, to see the best in people when they’re jealous, critical, and finding fault

Light has the greatest impact in darkness. If you’re in the light all the time, you’re not going to be that effective. Quit complaining about the dark and let your light shine

They didn’t stop the blessing on your life. They’re not keeping you from your potential. God has you there on purpose

He’s going to bless you in that difficult place. You’re going to be an example of His goodness. You’re going to demonstrate a divine favor so that other people can see the hand of God on your life

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the blessings that You have put on my life because I belong to You. Thank You that You have made me a light unto the world, those I know and see every day. I believe that as I keep honoring You, You will impact lives through me and draw them to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

A Garden of Abundance

After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret. They brought the boat to shore and climbed out. The people recognized Jesus at once, and they ran throughout the whole area, carrying sick people on mats to wherever they heard he was (Mark 6:53–55)

It is interesting that before the disciples’ boat was caught in a great storm on the lake that their destination was Bethsaida, which was called a desert place, a barren land that was not desirable.

However, the storm that seemed so uncontrollable and threatening until Jesus came and calmed the winds blew them to Gennesaret, which was called a garden of abundance, a beautiful place in Galilee.

Jesus brought an abundance of healing to the people there and made it a place of miracles.

You may feel that you’re in a storm of difficulty and headed to a barren place, to defeat, to brokenness. Don’t believe those lies.

You don’t know where the wind is blowing you. You can’t see it now, but God is using the storm to blow you to an abundant place of blessing, healing, miracles, and favor.

There are new beginnings, new doors are going to open, a fresh vision is coming. But the key to all this happening is to keep trusting God when you don’t understand. He will get you to where you need to be

Prayer:

Father, thank You that You are working out Your plan for my life in Your best way, including controlling the storms of adversity. Thank You that the winds and the waves are taking me to the next thing You have for me. I believe that You have a garden of abundance for me that is just ahead. In Jesus’ Name amen

Listen obey God's warnings

The people of Nineveh believed God’s message, and from the greatest to the least, they declared a fast and put on burlap to show their sorrow (Jonah 3:5)

Jonah had just been spit out of the mouth of a giant fish, and God called him a second time.

This time Jonah responded and obeyed His call. He journeyed to Nineveh and spoke the message that God had tasked him with.

It wasn’t one of those messages that are easy to hear either. It was a hard message with a strong warning from God himself for the people of Nineveh, “repent or be destroyed.”

That's a pretty alarming message, isn’t it? However, it was exactly what the Ninevites needed

Sometimes in life, we need to hear those strong cautionary warnings for God to actually get through to us. It’s never easy, but sometimes it’s exactly what we need to hear

Prayer:

Father God, I know that You love me. I pray that You speak to my heart today. Share the words I truly need to hear and then help me act in accordance with Your words in the merciful name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

Be Happy

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God - what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2)

Being a Christian requires being different and having higher standards in many areas of our lives.

Our daily decisions should be based on Godly goals, not worldly ones. We are to avoid excessive indulgences, foul language, gossiping, endorsing movies, or music that degrades people, and using God’s name in vain.

We should spend time daily in prayer and reading our Bible in order to grow closer to our loving Father.

This is how we can discern His will for us and have the strength to carry it out. God desires our happiness.

When we have good and loving standards to live by it brings us that happiness.

You are already following the advice in Romans by subscribing to this devotional and using it to renew your mind, so continue to seek His will and follow His teachings, and you too will be transformed

Prayer:

Loving Father, I know You want me to be happy. Help me to find that happiness by seeking Your will and loving everyone in the lovely name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

Power in Weakness

He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.’ So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Have you ever thought you shouldn’t have any weaknesses in your Christian life?

Sometimes I get caught in the thought cycle that I shouldn’t have any if I’m a true follower because I should be residing in Christ’s strength alone

In 2 Corinthians, Paul talks about a thorn in his side that will never go away and is a “messenger from Satan to harass him”.

Why is this thorn in Paul’s side? To keep him humble. To remind him that the Lord’s power is greater than his, and despite any weakness, Paul is always strong because he has the Lord’s power in him

These types of thorns are good, but can also hinder us in our daily walk. We need to surrender these thorns unto the Lord daily

God knows we have them, and He knows they challenge us. Handing our weaknesses over to Christ makes us strong!

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for giving us access to your strength. I pray that we would grow comfortable handing our challenges and adversities over to You. Help us to surrender them trusting in You, and equip us for what You have called us to do in the merciful name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

Eyes fixed upon the Lord!

He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me! Matthew 14:29-30."

I was only a teenager when I was given the big responsibility to be the leader in witnessing to others in our local youth fellowship.

Initially, the reception was positive as many received and surrendered their lives to Christ. Resistance was also sprouting, and it persisted as new listeners were doubtful of the message and raised difficult questions.

They were asking questions way out of my league. It left me profoundly nonplussed. Being unable to answer was depressing; it would result in them rejecting the message.

At that time, I felt unworthy and unfit to be sharing the Gospel. Like Peter in this passage, the “strong winds” frightened me. Ultimately, I quit being a leader. It was a hard lesson that taught me not to dwell on the rejections in life.

Instead, we should keep our eyes fixed on God. When we encounter problems and trials, don’t be frightened. Jesus commanded us to have courage for He has conquered the world and in Him, we do the same

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help us to keep our eyes fixed upon You and on Your will for us in our lives. Lord, strengthen us and our faith, as we encounter doubts and challenges. We place our complete trust in God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Prosper in the Difficulty

This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, say's to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce (Jeremiah 29:4–5)

Today’s Scripture was spoken to Israelites who were taken into captivity in Babylon. God was telling them, “I’m not going to return you to your homes for a long time, but you don’t have to live defeated while you’re here.

You don’t have to give up on your dreams. My plans are to prosper you while you’re in these difficult times.

We all have times when what we’re hoping for is not happening as fast as we would like. We’re believing for a breakthrough, to meet the right person, to see our family restored, but it’s been a long time.

It’s tempting to get sour and lose our passion. But while you’re waiting, instead of dragging through the day, start being productive, building houses so to speak, pursuing dreams, using your gifts.

The situation around you doesn’t have to change. God will prosper you despite what’s happening around you. He’s not waiting to bring you out; He’ll prosper you in the difficulty. He’ll show you His goodness and cause you to flourish while you’re not where you want to be.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that Your plans for my life, plans that are full of hope and an abundant future, are not dependent upon the situations around me. Thank You that You can prosper me through every difficulty. I believe that You are the One who is taking me to my destiny in the precious name of our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

God most compassionate

I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you (Isaiah 46:4)

Where would we be without the God who carries us through the difficulties, who sustains us, who has not let the opposition defeat us, not let the anxiety take root, not let the doubt talk us out of our dreams?

Your heavenly Father loves carrying you, and you never get too old for God to carry you.

When you’re tempted to worry that you might not make it through a sickness, or you feel overwhelmed by a loss or discouraged by people at work who are not fair, just start thanking Him for carrying you.

You may have things coming against you now, and you don’t see how you can keep going. You could live upset and bitter, but God knows what you’re going through, the struggles, the lonely nights, the unfair situations

He is saying, “I’m going to carry you. I have you close to My heart. You’re in the palm of My hand.”

You’re about to feel strength that you’ve never felt, peace when you could be stressed, favor that will make things happen that you couldn’t make happen

Prayer:

Father, thank You for promising me grace for every difficulty, and thank You for carrying me throughout my lifetime. Thank You that You made me and care about every detail of my life. I declare that nothing that’s coming against me will be too much. I will rest in the palm of Your hand in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Remember the Lord

The Lord within it is righteous; he does no wrong. Every morning he renders his judgment, each dawn without fail; but the unjust knows no shame.” - Zephaniah 3:5 (NRSV)

Zephaniah is one of those books in the Bible that tends to be overlooked. However, the message we receive in God's word through Zephaniah is important.

The author speaks

about the corruption within the walls of Jerusalem but also shows us the contrast between corruption and the Lord's righteousness.

God does not fail, and His promises are always there to take with us in the journey of life.

We are reminded that regardless of what is going on, God is always with us. Many ignore God, but He is always present.

What we do should honor Him. Do not be like the unjust, and remember the Lord while there is still time.

Prayer:

Jesus, teach us the importance of accepting responsibility for our actions. Remind us of Your promises and give us the courage to embrace the clean slate You offer us each morning in Jesus name!

WEAR THE ARMOUR OF GOD!

Put on the whole ARMOUR of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness in this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:11-13)0

God has equipped us to stand and fight every battle we will face in life!

The scripture say's in the Bible Ephesians chapter 6 that we are to put on the whole armor of God, everything that He has equipped us with!

The armor tells a lot about how we are to fight our battles!

If you study the armor of God, you will find that it only mentions things that cover the front of us!

It talks about wearing the breastplate of righteousness which covers our chest, our heart!

It talks about having our loins girt about with truth; it speaks to put on the helmet of salvation, to protect our steps with the shoes of peace!

The Bible mentions the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit! But interestingly enough, not one piece of that armor covers our back! Why is that?

It's because God never intended for us to be running from the enemy!

If you are running from adversity, then you are leaving yourself wide open to the enemy!

But if you will put on the whole armour of God, stand on His word, you will move forward in the victory God has already prepared for you!

PRAYER DECLARATION

The word of God is sharp and effective, and as I meditate, ponder and sow the word from the Bible, that word will reap a mighty harvest!

Please Holy Spirit open our eyes in the scriptures that are words of life, that your beloved require, and yours will speak those words daily in the precious name of our Lord Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

THANK GOD CONTINUOUSLY

The scripture says, "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Are you thanking God for every good thing in your life?

Are you recognizing the Source? When doors opened that you couldn't open, when somebody gave you something good, when you were at the right place at the right time, when you met that person and fell in love, that wasn't a coincidence; that was the Source!

That wasn't luck when that person put in a good word for you and the promotion was yours!

God spoke to that person, telling them to be good to you! Every good thing comes from your Omnipotent Father!

They may not have even known it was God, thinking they just suddenly had the desire to help you, to stay late and introduce you to that friend, or to wave the policy and put the loan through!

Don't get so caught up in the resources God uses, that you forget He is the Source who is making it happen! There are no coincidences! The Most High God is the One whom orchestrates!

Prayer: Dear Abba, Father God in Heaven, so good, so gracious, so kind, lovefilled, merciful thank you again and again, yours always appreciate love and value our God! Thank you for the blessings in the Month, and thank you that each day is a blessing! We pray and prophecy life favour grace!
